Well the water has finally cleared up and the fishing improved. Fishing on the flats on good tide days produced plenty of trout, ladyfish and Spanish mackerel.
Friday morning I switched gears and fished the pass with jigs. We caught and released 6 permit as well as a few pompano, my guys missed at least a dozen bites till they got the hang of working the jig.
The water has cleared up in Sarasota Bay.
The fishing has improved along with the water.
