Last September I donated a Charter at the Coastal Conservation Association banquet, Sarasota Chapter. The winning bid was made by Chad, and his wife Amber, from Venice Florida. We finally got out onto the water to honor their winning bid on Saturday.
We started off fishing a small oyster bar in upper Sarasota Bay. There was a lot of action at this spot, with Mullet jumping and bait. Chad managed a bluefish and a jack crevell before we moved to our next location.
Action picked up as we fished a couple small islands. Chad managed to catch a number of redfish using a quarter ounce jig head with gulp jerk shad. Amber using a popping cork with live shrimp caught her share of redfish as well.
It was a very calm and beautiful day on Sarasota Bay. All the fish were safely released to be caught again another day.
