Matthew and his wife Joy, from Wisconsin, had a surprisingly good day fishing. Surprising because it was very chilly, low tide, and a full moon.
With those conditions you don’t expect to really have a banner day on the water. However the husband and wife team managed to catch several different species of fish. Using artificial bait and live shrimp they caught and safely released trout, jacks, snook, red fish, and ladyfish.
Matthew, an avid angler hooked and brought to the boat the largest redfish I have seen on board in quite some time. After hooking the bull redfish it took off. ran under the dock wrapped around the pilings, and would not come out without a fight. With great skill Matthew was able to weave his fishing pole around the pilings and lead the fish to open waters were we finally get it on board. So the moral of the story is the best time to go fishing is any time you can.
