Anglers fishing aboard my boat the O’ Fish All out of CB’S Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key caught and released tarpon, snook, spotted seatrout, bluefish, and pompano.
Fly anglers fishing with me for tarpon last week had numerous shots at fish in shallow water. Anglers that fished Sarasota Bay with me caught and released spotted seatrout, bluefish, and pompano. Water temps in the bay are almost 90* by midday so we concentrated on the grass flats that are in the 6 to 10 range.
With fishing artificial lures or fly the key is to start early to find some consistent action before water temps heat up. Night snook fishing has continued to be good with fly anglers.
Spin anglers are scoring with DOA shrimp and the Yozuri pins minnow with the best action around lighted docks and structure with good moving water.
